 Part of the fun in coming to The Green Valley Market is in the activities that we offer year round. Events change seasonally and new activities are added to our list as they approach, so check back now and then to see what’s happening at The Green Valley Market.

May:
- Kids’ sunflower planting. Kids, visit the Green Valley Market and start growing your sunflower. Results in September. Exact date TBA.
- Come walk through the orchards in late May to see the blooms… gorgeous!
June:
- 20th & 21st - Green Valley Market Grand Opening! Use your $1-Off coupon from The Northern Star newspaper during our Grand Opening weekend.
- 20th & 21st - Show dad some love! Dad's single scoop ice cream is free during the Father’s Day weekend.
July:
- 1st - Canada Day Cruise-In (motorcycle enthusiasts)
August:
- 15th to 29th - Team Spirit Week - show up wearing your team uniform, buy one regular priced cone and get the second free!
September:
- Super Sunflowers! Bring in your tallest sunflower to get measured, prize for grower of tallest sunflower. Contest ends Sept.30th; open to kids 15 and under.
- Sept 29th - Oct 4th Fall Flavors! visit www.fallflavors.com for more details on two events.
- Salsa Fiesta! Get your complimentary salsa recipes and choose from our sale-priced ingredients.
October:
- Best Apple Pie Contest. Submit your entry by noon on Sunday, October 18th. Judging takes place at 1 pm. Prize for winner.
- Pumpkin Carving Contest! Drop off your best pumpkin carving by Oct 21st for display the following week. The deadline is October 24th at noon, judging takes place Oct24th at closing time. There are 1st place finishers for each age category; 5-9 yrs, 10-12yrs, 13+yrs.
November:
- Photo Contest! Submit your photo from the '09 season enjoying the market, judging takes place November 21st by renowned PEI photographer Ann MacNeil of Sees the Moment photography.

- The Green Valley Market is proud to be the starting point for Run For It, the 2nd Annual PEI Hemophilia Society run for charity.
